Women's Hoops Returns to SECU Arena for Sunday Showdown

TOWSON, Md. ---  The Towson University women's basketball team returns home on Sunday for a CAA Showdown against Elon University. Game time is set for 2 p.m. at SECU Arena.

  • The Tigers host the Phoenix of Elon just nine days after their last meeting. Elon took the first match up of the season. Towson will look to level the season series on Sunday.

  • Junior guard Danielle Durjan also added another 16 points, her sixth double digit effort of the year.
  • Cuevas has a double-double in four of her last five games.
  • For the season, Cuevas leads the team with eight double-doubles, while Nukiya Mayo has added five.
  • It is the most double-doubles by a Tiger since LaTorri Hines-Allen had 14 during the 2014-15 campaign.

  • Since league play began, the Tigers have knocked away 52 opponent shots, including eight Sunday afternoon at Charleston.
  • Towson has out-blocked five of its eight CAA foes this season. Only twice have the Tigers been out-blocked, with both Towson and William & Mary blocking 11 shots.
  • Towson ranks 11th national in total blocks (122) and sits 10th in blocks per game (6.3).
  • Towson enters Sunday's game with 122 blocks on the season. It is the most blocked shots for a Tiger team since Towson joined the CAA for the 2001-02 season.
