TOWSON, Md. -- The Towson University women's soccer team is unbeaten in its third straight game after holding Drexel scoreless in a 0-0 double overtime draw on Sunday.
Towson (4-12-2, 1-5-2 CAA) honored 11 seniors before the start of the game.
Megan Collins had 14 saves for the Tigers.
Drexel (5-6-5, 2-4-1 CAA) had eight different players with shots on goal.
How it Happened
- Drexel had the first shot by Rory Klingensmith that went wide right at the 15-minute mark.
- Drexel took four more shots by three different players.
- Towson's Justine Stoner took the first shot for the Tigers, but it was saved by goalie Libby Baeza at the 32-minute mark.
- Nikki Logan had another shot 15 seconds later get saved by Baeza.
- The Dragons would have two more shots both saved by Collins to end the period at 0-0.
- Drexel started the second half by having four more shots before Towson's McKenzie McCaull would have a shot saved by Baeza at the 54-minute mark.
- Alexis Toles would then follow up with a shot after a Justine Stoner corner kick but Baeza had another save.
- Collins saved two more shots by Drexel's Shaelyn McCarty and Rachel Sharkey.
- Monica Scagoline would shoot wide right for Towson at the 70-minute mark.
- Rachel Sharkey shot for the Dragons was blocked.
- Six more shots would go up for the Dragons before Tigers Sarah Quick would have a high shot miss the goal.
- Drexel would take two more shots that got blocked and go wide left to end the half and the game went into overtime.
- Towson came off quick in the overtime with a corner kick by Nikki Logan setting up a shot by Sarah Quick get saved by Libby Baeza.
- Megan Collins would have three saves for the Tigers when a header by Shaelyn McCarty, shots by Morayo Adenegan and Emma Heckenberg all went towards the goal.
- Once again, the Dragons would have the last two shots of the period to send the game into double-overtime.
- At the 100-minute mark Raenah Campbell would take a shot and it went high.
- Towson had back-to-back shots by Jenna Blank and McKenzie McCaull go high and wide for the Tigers.
- The final attempt was taken at the 103-minute mark by the Dragons and the game would end in a draw.
