Lewisburg, Pa. – The Towson University women's swimming and diving team success of the weekend continued through day three of the Bucknell Invitational. The Tigers won the invitational with a score of 1564.
The Tigers also won this event last year.
Fordham came in second with a score of 1264, then host Bucknell with a score of 1151, followed by Georgetown with a score of 992.5, Davidson (702.5), La Salle (600) and Old Dominion (560).
How it Happened
- Ryan Ulrich came in first-place in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.16.
- Jacki Schoening was victorious in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:01.46), while teammate Amanda Rosa came in second (1:02.80).
- Schoening and Rosa also saw a 1-2 finish in the 200-yard breaststroke with times of 2:16.37 and 2:18.03 respectively.
- The 400-yard medley relay made up of Meghan Jones, Schoening, Maddi Mangum and Ulrich finished in first with a time of 3:41.26.
- Teammates Haley Sutton, Rosa, Megan Cowan and Ulrich came in second in the 400-yard medley relay (3:45.74).
- Emily Wilson captured first-place in the 1-meter diving with a score of 267.90.
- The 200-yard medley relay team of Sutton, Schoening, Mangum and Ulrich also saw first-place in with a time of 1:41.82.
- Cowan saw first-place in the 200-yard butterfly (2:01.63) and teammate Mangum saw second with a time of 2:02.63.
- The 400-yard freestyle team of Cowan, Ulrich, Mangum and Annemarie Schnoor came in second-place (3:24.34).
- The 3-meter diving competition saw top-three finishes in Kelsey Jehl (294.55), Victoria Zozzaro (269.80) and Wilson (281.30).
- Mangum also saw second-place in the 100-yard butterfly (54.71). She came in sixth-place in the 100-yard backstroke (57.11).
- The 200-yard freestyle team of Cowan, Ulrich, Mangum and Schnoor came in second with a time of 1:33.71.
- Jones was second in the 500-yard freestyle (4:56.47).
- The 800-yard freestyle team of Suzannah Mills, Schnoor, Cowan and Sarah-Margaret Locke came in second-place with a time of 7:27.50.
- Schnoor also came in third-place in the 100-yard freestyle (50.73).
- Sutton also saw fourth-place in the 200-yard backstroke (2:01.40).
- Locke came in third in the 200-yard freestyle (1:50.46), while teammate Schnoor came in fourth (1:50.78).
- Karlee Carminati came in seventh-place in the 1650-yard freestyle (17:13.22).
