TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University football team will continue its season, earning an at-large bid into the 2018 FCS NCAA Playoffs. In addition, Towson will host an NCAA first round game on Saturday, November 24
th at 2 p.m.
Towson is one of 24 teams selected to compete in the 2018 NCAA FCS Playoffs, appearing in the postseason for the first time since 2013.
The Tigers will host Duquesne in the first round of the NCAA Playoffs on Saturday at Johnny Unitas® Stadium. This is the first NCAA home football game at Towson since the Tigers hosted Fordham on December 7
th, 2013.

Towson finished the regular season at 7-4 overall and 5-3 in the CAA, tying for third place in the league. The Tigers earned victories over three teams ranked in the top-15 at the time of the game: Villanova, Stony Brook and Elon. Stony Brook and Elon each made the NCAA field, along with three other CAA schools: Maine, Delaware and James Madison.
Duquesne is the champion of the Northeast Conference, finishing its year at 8-3 overall and 5-1 in its league.
This will be the first-ever matchup between Towson and Duquesne, with the game being broadcast on ESPN3. The victor of this game will play at 5-seed South Dakota State next week.
