TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's tennis team returns to action
Tuesday when the Tigers travel to Washington D.C. to take on Georgetown. First serve is set for
noon inside Yates Field House.
Towson (1-2) is coming off a 7-0 loss at Navy
on Sunday at the Tose Family Tennis Center. The doubles tandem of junior
Yevgeniya Shusterman and senior
Lucy Williams came away with a 6-3 victory at No. 3 doubles.
Last year, the Tigers hosted Georgetown on
Mar. 30, 2017 with the Hoyas coming away with a 4-3 victory. Seniors
A.J. Gomer and
Renate van Oorschodt posted a 7-5 win in the top doubles spot, while Williams, senior
Barbora Vasilkova and junior
Lucy Gloninger each posted singles victories.
Towson continues its five-match road trip on Saturday when it travels to Saint Joseph's for a
4 p.m., match at Springton Tennis Club.
