GREENVILLE, N.C. – The Towson University softball team took advantage of a pair of errors to score three unearned runs in the fifth inning during its 4-2 victory over UMBC in the Pirate Clash at the ECU Softball Stadium Friday.
Even though they finished with four hits, the Tigers still enjoyed plenty of runners thanks to their patience of drawing five walks.
Julia Smith-Harrington earned her first victory of the season after allowing three hits over six solid innings.
Olivia Baltazar worked around a leadoff walk in the seventh to earn her first career save.

- Towson scored all of its runs with two outs.
- Madison Wilson extended her hitting streak to seven games dating back to last season.
