PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Towson University women's tennis freshman
Alexa Martinez posted the team's lone win at No. 6 singles as the Tigers fell to Duquesne Saturday at Alpha Tennis and Fitness, 6-1.
Towson (2-3) suffered its first loss in the last three matches.
"Duquesne played well and did all the little things right and we did not," said head coach
Jamie Peterson. "Give them credit, they played very solid tennis all the way down the line. We were a bit flat and inconsistent to say the least. It wasn't our night."
Martinez defeated Maranda Sears, 6-3, 2-6, 6-4.
