Kaitlyn Montalbano scored her 100th career goal while sophomore
Olivia Conti totaled two goals, six draw controls and four caused turnovers as the 10th-ranked Tigers handled Michigan Wednesday at Unitas Stadium, 14-7.
Towson (3-0) has started the season with three-straight wins for the third time under head coach
Sonia LaMonica. The Tigers' best start came in 2016 when they started 6-0 en route to winning the CAA championship and advancing to the second round of the NCAA Division I Women's Lacrosse Championship.

Natalie Sulmonte led the offense with four points on three goals and one assist. Junior
Emily Gillingham added three goals and now has a team-leading 12 goals this season.
How it Happened
- Michigan (2-4) struck first just 43 seconds into the game to take their only lead of the game before Montalbano answered with her 100th career goal at 25:19 to tie the game at 1-1.
- Just nine seconds later, Sulmonte gave the Tigers the lead for good after winning the draw and going straight down the middle of the field for her fifth goal of the season.
- After the Wolverines tied the game at 2-2 with 24:20 remaining in the first half, Conti scored on a free position shot to put Towson in front 3-2 with 20:04 to play.
- Neither team would find the back of the net again until under the two minute mark when Conti scored her second goal of the game and the third of her career with 1:38 left.
- Sulmonte added her second of the game on a free position shot with 27 seconds left to give the Tigers a 5-2 halftime advantage.
- Conti's first goal sparked a 7-0 run for Towson that broke the game's second tie and gave the team a commanding 9-2 lead with 20:51 remaining in the second half.
- The Wolverines finally got back on the board with 19:16 to play when their leading scorer, Adriana Pendino, snapped a 35-minute scoring drought with her first goal of the game.
- Pendino scored again with 9:35 left, followed by the second of three goals for Chandler Kirby to pull Michigan within five, 11-6, but the Tigers scored three goals in a span of 26 seconds to push their lead to eight, 14-6. The streak started with 1:58 remaining on the first goal of the season for red-shirt sophomore Maddie Dickman.

- Under LaMonica, Towson is 67-8 when it scores 10 or more goals.
- By comparison, the Tigers are 65-13 when they hold their opponent under 10 goals during that time.
- LaMonica is just four wins shy of 100 for her career. She is 88-48 in eight seasons at Towson.
- Towson finishes the month of February with a 3-0 record and is now 16-4 during the month of February under LaMonica.
- Montalbano now has 100 goals, 49 assists and 149 points in her career. She is currently ninth in program history in points.
- With two goals, junior Carly Tellekamp now has 84 for her career to go along with 96 points.
- With three goals, Gillingham now has 92 for her career.
- Tellekamp and Gillingham have now scored a goal in 11 consecutive games.
- With four points, Sulmonte has now scored a point in 34-straight games dating back to Mar. 26, 2016 against Delaware.
- The Tigers are now 1-0 against Michigan and 5-10 against the Big Ten since the conference added women's lacrosse in 2015.
