Carly Tellekamp scored her 100th career point with her second goal of the game and senior
Kaitlyn Montalbano totaled six points as the No. 10 Tigers posted a 15-3 victory over Coastal Carolina Saturday at Unitas Stadium.
Towson (4-1) remained unbeaten in four home games this season while picking up a win in the first-ever meeting between the two teams.
Montalbano finished one point shy of her career high while Tellekamp finished with three goals.
How It Happened
- Towson scored the game's first seven goals, including two each from Tellekamp and Montalbano, to take a 7-0 lead with 15:16 remaining in the first half.
- Tellekamp's second goal with 15:16 left was the 100th point of her career.
- Coastal got on the board with 13:13 to play in the first half, but the Tigers added goals from senior Emily Gillingham and sophomore Annie Sachs to take a 9-1 halftime lead.
- The Tigers added two more goals to start the second with a free position tally from red-shirt senior Gabby Cha and the third of the game from Tellekamp.
- Haley Alexander added her second of the game for the Chanticleers (1-4) before Montalbano netted her third of the game with 19:26 remaining to give Towson a 10-goal lead.
- Junior Natalie Sulmonte found the back of the net for the second time off an assist from Sachs before Montalbano added her fourth and Sachs added her second to cap the scoring.
