Kendyl Scott had a pair of hits and
Kaylen Minnatee hit a two-run home run during the Towson University softball team's tough 5-4 setback to James Madison in a Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) contest at chilly and windy Veterans Memorial Park Sunday afternoon.
Trailing by two runs entering the seventh inning, the Tigers displayed plenty of heart and grit by loading the bases with one out.
Madison Wilson delivered a RBI single to bring Towson within one run.
James Madison erased Towson's early 3-0 advantage by scoring three runs in the sixth inning on a pair of home runs.

- Towson pitcher Megan Dejter struck out six batters in 5.2 innings.
- Minnatee's second inning homer gave the Tigers a 3-0 lead.
- Minnatee's blast scored Kendall Arcia, who drove home Towson's first run of the game with a bloop single.
