Key Play
After falling behind 0-2 with two on and two outs in the bottom of the ninth, Billy Lennox fouled off two pitches to stay alive and draw the walk to bring Richie Palacios to the plate.

How it Happened
  • The Tigers entered the ninth inning trailing by three runs. Noah Cabrera started the rally with a four-pitch walk and Andrew Cassard followed with a single to center.
  • After the next two hitters were retired, Dirk Masters delivered and RBI single to center, scoring Cabrera.
  • That rolled the lineup over and Billy Lennox battled back from an 0-2 count to draw a walk to load the bases.
  • Palacios then stepped into the box and found himself in a similar situation to Lennox, down 0-2. Three pitches later, Palacios put a good swing on a slider and deposited it near the top of the hill in right field for the walk-off grand slam. The blast was his team-leading fourth home run of the season.
  • The Pride got on the board in the third inning with an RBI single from Parker Quinn, and added another run in the fourth on a solo home run from Vito Friscia.
  • Those two runs would be all that starter David Marriggi would allow as the southpaw struck out seven over seven innings of work.
  • Towson looked to put together a rally in the fifth inning as the first two hitters collected base hits, but the Pride were able to pull off the hidden-ball trick to erase the lead runner and change the momentum of the inning.
  • The Pride added an insurance run in the eighth inning as they drew a bases-loaded walk with two outs.
  • Bo Plagge (1-1) allowed one hit and struck out a batter in a scoreless top of the ninth to earn the victory.
  • Chris Weiss (2-2) allowed five runs on three hits over two innings of work.

  • The home run for Palacios was his fourth of the season, and the first at Schuerholz Park.
