Key Plays
  • With a runner on second and two outs in the third, catcher Trey Martinez blocked a ball in the dirt and was able to catch the runner too far off the bag at second to end the inning with a 2-4-5-3 putout.
  • Richie Palacios stole his 12th base in the fourth inning to get into scoring position. The play proved to be the difference in the game as he went to third on a wild pitch and was able to score on the second wild pitch of the inning.

How it Happened
  • The game did not feature much offense as both pitchers were top of their games.
  • Adams (2-2) tossed his first complete game of his career, allowing just three singles and walking one. He matched his career high of 10 strikeouts that he set just last week.
  • Teddy Cillis (0-2) nearly matched Adams as he also allowed just three singles over eight innings. He walked two and struckout six.
  • The Pride collected the first hit of the game as they got a two-out single in the third inning. The runner advanced to second on a wild pitch, and then tried to advance to third on another ball in the dirt.
  • Trey Martinez was able to gather the ball quickly and the runner found himself in no-man's land. Martinez ran him back towards second and then had him retired 2-4-5-3 to end the inning.
  • Towson got its first hit of the game in the fourth inning as Richie Palacios went the other way with a single through the left side. The shortstop then stole second base.
  • Palacios would advance to third on a wild pitch and score on the second wild pitch of the inning.
  • Adams allowed his second hit of the game in the sixth inning, again with one out. He then struck out the next hitter on a ball in the dirt and Martinez came up firing to second to get the runner trying to advance.
  • The Tigers got their only other two hits in the sixth inning when Colin Gimblet singled into the hole at short and Noah Cabrera singled to right center.
