Tigers Win Sixth-Straight With Shutout of Bucknell

TOWSON, Md. – Reigning Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Pitcher of the Week Megan Dejter tossed her first shutout of the season in leading the Towson University softball team to a 3-0 victory over Bucknell Sunday afternoon at the Tiger Softball Stadium.
 
Dejter was dominant in the circle as Towson won its sixth consecutive contest. It was Dejter's fourth complete game this season. Dejter finished with five strikeouts for the Tigers. In her last four appearances, Dejter has posted a 0.47 earned run average.

How It Happened
  • Dejter didn't allow a runner to reach third base.
  • Dejter retired nine straight batters from the third inning to the seventh inning.
  • She had three perfect innings.
  • Nicole Stockinger led Towson's offense with two hits.
  • Kendyl Scott's two-out RBI triple scored Riley Thies, who singled, in the third inning for the first run of the game.
  • Jackie Mounie and Thies drew bases loaded walks to score Shelby Stracher and Stockinger in the fourth inning.
