WILMINGTON, N.C. - Towson University women's tennis senior Nicole Shakhnazarova won at No. 1 singles while teaming with senior Barbora Vasilkova to post a victory at No. 3 doubles as the Tigers fell to the College of Charleston Friday at UNCW, 6-1.

After the Cougars (15-10) won the first match at No. 1 doubles, Shakhnazarova and Vasilkova posted a 6-4 victory at No. 3 doubles before CofC clinched the point with a tightly contested 7-5 win at No. 2 doubles in 12 games.

In singles, the Cougars won the first four flights to seal the match before Shakhnazarova posted a grueling 4-6, 7-6 (4), 10-4 victory over Helena Nyikos at No. 1.

CofC posted a win in the final match when Rachel McNeely edged junior Yevgeniya Shusterman at No. 3 singles, 6-2, 5-7, 10-8. 
 
The Tigers (11-11) wrap up conference play on Sunday when they face UNCW beginning at 11 a.m.
