Hannah Hobbes scored her first career goal while red-shirt freshman
Rachel Florek made two saves to highlight the eight-ranked Tigers' 17-5 Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) victory over William & Mary Sunday at Martin Family Stadium.
Towson (12-2, 4-0 CAA) extended its winning streak to seven games while picking up its fifth consecutive road win.
The newest members of the 100-goal club, junior
Natalie Sulmonte and junior
Carly Tellekamp, combined for seven goals while sophomore
Kiley Keating totaled seven saves.
How It Happened
- Tellekamp opened the scoring with 23:04 remaining in the first half before the Tribe (4-10, 0-3 CAA) answered less than two minutes later to tie the game at 1-1.
- Sulmonte scored her first goal of the game just 39 seconds later to spark a 7-0 Tiger run.
- Towson scored four of its next seven goals on free position shots, the last of which came from Tellekamp to give the Tigers an 8-1 lead with 9:04 left in the first half.
- Sulmonte and Tellekamp combined for five of the seven goals with freshman Kaitlin Thornton and red-shirt senior Gabby Cha each netting one.
- William & Mary scored on a free position of its own with 6:58 to play before Towson scored the final three goals of the half, including two in the final minute, to take an 11-2 halftime lead.
- Sulmonte and Thornton each scored again while senior Emily Gillingham netted her only goal of the game with 59 seconds remaining to extend her goal scoring streak to 22 games.
- Red-shirt sophomore Maddie Dickman picked up an assist on Thornton's tally with two seconds left.
- The Tribe scored the first goal of the second half just 21 seconds in before the Tigers netted the four to push their lead to 15-3.
- Senior Kaitlyn Montalbano scored twice while Cha added her second and Dickman netted her fifth of the season.
- Back-to-back goals by William & Mary pull the team within 10, but the Tigers finished the game with goals from freshman Abby Wilkinson and Hobbes to provide the final margin.

- With four goals, Sulmonte tied her season high set at Saint Joseph's on March 14.
- Sulmonte now has 106 career goals and is tied for 11th in program history with Amy Buck.
- Tellekamp now has 108 career goals and moved into 10th in program history.
- Cha now has 64 goals in 62 career games and has scored three over the last two after missing three games to injury.
- With two points, Montalbano now has 177 for her career, moving past Nikki Marcinik into seventh place in program history.
- Montalbano also appeared in her 71st career game for thre Tigers, tying her with Alexa Demski and Ruth Gutridge for 11th in program history.
- With two caused turnovers, senior Tianna Wallpher now has 98 for her career, one behind Demski for second in program history. With more, Wallpher would become just the second player in school history to reach 100. The school record is 144 held by William & Mary head coach Hillary Fratzke.
- Towson is now 3-0 on grass this season.
- The Tigers are 12-1 when leading at the half this year.
- Towson is now 74-9 when scoring 10 or more goals under head coach Sonia LaMonica.
- The Tigers are now 71-13 when holding opponents under 10 goals under LaMonica.
- Towson scored 10 of its 17 goals on free position shots and had nine different players score a goal.
- With her first career goal, Hobbes becomes the 14th different Tiger to score a goal this season.
