TOWSON, Md. -- The Towson University softball team tied the school record for wins in a single-season after defeating Delaware State 14-4 and 10-1 in a non-conference doubleheader at the Tiger Softball Stadium Wednesday.

The 38 wins matches the total of the 2005 squad.

In winning their ninth consecutive contest, the Tigers hit seven home runs over the two games highlighted by two each from
Kendyl Scott,
Shelby Stracher and
Nicole Stockinger.

With four hits over the two games, Scott, who entered the game second in the nation in batting, raised her average to .491 overall.
