Michael Adams had another outstanding performance as he allowed just three hits in pitching the Tigers to a 6-1 victory over William & Mary in the final game of the three-game series Sunday afternoon.

How it Happened
- The Tigers jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning after Mark Grunberg drew a two-out walk and stole second.
- Colin Gimblet followed with a single to right center to score the run.
- Michael Adams retired the first two hitters he faced in the bottom of the first, but then ran into trouble. He got a fielder's choice to end the inning without any damage.
- The offense scored again in the third as Billy Lennox singled and Richie Palacios doubled into the right-field corner.
- Grunberg drove in Lennox with a sacrifice fly to left field.
- WM got its lone run in the fourth as a leadoff single came around to score on a bases-loaded walk. The inning was kept alive with a fielding error.
- Towson played small ball in the fifth inning with a Trey Martinez single and a Dirk Masters walk to start the frame.
- Lennox sacrificed the runners and Palacios made the Tribe pay for pitching to him with a base open by lining a shot off the leg of the pitcher for a RBI single.
- Adams would keep the score where it was as he retired the side in order in the second, third, sixth and seventh innings.
- Adams (3-2) came out of the game after walking the leadoff batter of the eighth. He ended his day by allowing one unearned run on three hits and eight strikeouts over seven-plus innings.
- Dean Stramara entered and quickly got a 4-3 double play and a strikeout to end the inning.
- Towson extended the lead in the ninth inning as it pushed across three unearned runs.
- Grunberg drove in two runs with a single through the right side. Gimblet followed with a high fly ball in the center of the diamond that fell to the ground as the player tripped over the mound.
- The play scored a hustling Grunberg from second.
- Stramara came back in the ninth and ended the game with a pair of strikeouts for his first save.
- Jacob Haney (1-6) gave up three runs on six hits over 4.1 innings to take the loss.
