Howard Leads Towson In Non-Conference Finale

TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University men's basketball finished its three-game homestand by dropping an 86-74 decision to Cornell in a non-conference contest at SECU Arena Wednesday night.
 
Inside the Numbers
  • Tobias Howard led Towson with 15 points and seven assists.
  • Brian Fobbs reached double figures in scoring for the 13th straight game with 12 points.
  • Fobbs also finished with six rebounds.
  • Jordan McNeil and Nakye Sanders added 11 points each for the Tigers.
  • Allen Betrand scored a career best 10 points.
  • Dennis Tunstall had six points and six rebounds.
  • Sanders and Solomon Uyaelunmo corralled five rebounds each for Towson.
  • McNeil and Howard combined to score 16 points in the opening half.
  • McNeil reached double figures in scoring for the sixth time this season and 16th time in his career.
  • This was the third time in four games, McNeil has scored in double figures.
  • This was Howard's 10th double digit scoring game this season.

  • In scoring double figures for the 67th consecutive game, Matt Morgan led Cornell with a SECU Arena record 38 points.
  • Morgan also became the sixth player in Ivy League history to score 2,000 career points during the game.
  • Also reaching double figures for the Big Red were Josh Warren (18 points) and Jim Boeheim (14).
