DeLAND, Fla. - Sunday the Towson University tennis team concluded fall action at the Hatters Invitational hosted by Stetson.
The Tigers competed against Saint Leo in the final day with singles and doubles action.
How it Happened
- The lone singles win of the day came from Elessa Jacobs as she defeated her Saint Leo opponent 6-0 and 6-4.
- Jacobs also took a win in doubles as she paired with Jessica Assenmacher and they took a 7-6 victory.
- Towson saw three other duos compete in doubles.
- Pheobe Collins had a hard fought loss to her opponent, falling 7-6 and 6-4.
- The Tigers had four other singles matches, Alexa Martinez coming close with a loss 6-3 and 6-3.

"We had mixed results today," said head coach
Jamie Peterson. "We were out energized y some very aggressive doubles in the beginning of the matches, although Jessica and Elessa were able to rebound form a 4-1 deficit and win. Elessa also won her singles match in straight sets, she went 5-0 this weekend."
Looking Ahead
Towson will return to action in 2020 for the dual season. The schedule for the upcoming season will be released at a later date.
