TOWSON, Md. – After a month away from the pool, the Towson University women's swimming and diving teams travel Lewisburg, Pennsylvania to compete in the Bucknell Invitational Dec.6 -8
th. This is the last meet to wrap up the fall schedule.

Swimming Spotlight
Before each meet, the swimming and diving program will introduce us to someone in the senior class who will share highlights and their expectations of the season. This meet we introduce you to senior
Jacki Schoening.
The business marketing major is from Raleigh, North Carolina and is thirlled for the mid-season championship meet at Bucknell.
"Bucknell is our mid-season championship meet so our excitement level is extremely high for some fast swimming across all three days of the meet," said Schoening.
"Everyone has some high expectations going into Bucknell because we will be suited and partially rested. Everyone is hoping to go best times and place really well and I think that everyone has a great chance of achieving those goals."
During the quick winter break Jacki and the Tigers get to travel to Florida for a fun training session and its one the team is looking forward too.
"I am looking forward to our training trip to Florida in January," said Schoening. "It will be the first one for our team and it will be great to train in a new location."
As a senior of course, one can only look forward to the Colonial Athletic Championships (CAA) and for the two-time defending CAA champion in the 100 breaststroke, Schoening is ready to leave her final mark.
"The other meet I am really looking forward to is CAAs in February, we will be fully rested and excited to compete," said Schoening.
"As a team we definitely want to be in the running to win CAAs this year and have tons of fun doing it. We are really focused on racing well and having fun along the way."
Jacki Schoening normally competes in the breaststrokes but believe it or not she actually enjoys doing the relays. As such a very charismatic person, her enjoyment comes just from the cheers her teammates give.
"Hearing them cheer gives me motivation to swim fast for not just myself but for everyone on the team as well," said Schoening. "I also am really motivated by swimming on relays because it is a lot of fun and there is so much more energy being behind the blocks with your teammates."
