TOWSON, Md. – The 2019 season continues for the Towson University women's tennis team this weekend as the Tigers host Richmond Saturday evening. The dual match will take place at the Pikesville, Maryland Coppermine Racquet and Fitness Center.
Towson enters the game with a 1-4 record while the Spiders are 1-2. Before coming to town on Saturday, Richmond will play Delaware also on the road.
The Tigers most recently fell on the road at Duquesne, 4-3 and their win came against La Salle two weeks ago. Richmond's lone win was over Navy on Jan. 26 and the Spiders have fallen to No. 23 Virginia and at William & Mary.
Towson has not faced Richmond in duals action since at least the 2001-02 season. In the fall players from each team faced each other at the Navy Invitational.
