TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University softball team started its 2019 home schedule by defeating UMBC in a pair of non-conference games at the Tiger Softball Stadium Tuesday.
Julia Smith-Harrington tossed her second shutout of the season to help Towson win the opener, 3-0.
Sara Johnson along with a balanced offensive attack enabled the Tigers to capture the second game, 8-5.
Towson extended its winning streak to three.
