Stockinger Homers Twice As Towson Splits With GW

TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University softball team split a home doubleheader against George Washington on Wednesday at the Tiger Softball Stadium.
 
The Tigers got two home runs from Nicole Stockinger and a complete game pitching gem from Julia Smith-Harrington to beat the Colonials, 6-1, in the opener. The Colonials scored eight runs over the final two innings to claim a 10-3 victory in the nightcap.

How It Happened Game One
  • Stockinger got Towson off to a fast start with a first-inning grand slam.
  • She added a solo homer in the third inning to help Towson extend its lead to 5-0.
