Towson Earns Two Wins Over Coppin State

TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University softball team scored 27 runs over two games during a pair of victories over visiting Coppin State in non-conference action Tuesday afternoon.
 
The Tigers won the first game 12-0 behind Julia Smith-Harrington's third shutout and seventh complete game of the season. Towson won the second contest 15-0 as Nicole Stockinger finished a double shy of hitting for the cycle.

How It Happened Game One
  • The game took 71 minutes to complete.
  • Nicole Stockinger, Kendall Arcia, Chloe Poulich and Jess DaBreo had two hits each for the Tigers.
  • Julia Smith-Harrington and Arcia drove in three runs each.
  • Overall, seven different Tigers had at least one hit.
  • Six of Towson's 12 hits went for extra bases.
  • Both of Stockinger's hits were doubles.
