TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University men's basketball team dropped its regular season finale to Elon, 86-66, in a Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) contest at SECU Arena Saturday.
With the loss, Towson will open the 2019 CAA Tournament presented by Jersey Mike's in North Charleston, South Carolina as the ninth seed next Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. against eighth-seeded James Madison. Both squads split the season series with each team holding serve at home.
How It Happened
- Solomon Uyaelunmo paced Towson with 12 points and eight rebounds.
- Nakye Sanders (eight rebounds) was one of four Tigers to finish with nine points.
- Brian Fobbs and Jakigh Dottin added nine points each.
- Fobbs finished with six rebounds.
- It was the 19th game this season in which Fobbs grabbed at least six rebounds.
- Fobbs, who dunked to cut Elon's lead to 21-18 with nine minutes remaining in the first half, ended the regular season with 543 career points.
