NEWARK, Del. – Nicole Stockinger had her second multi-home run game of the season and third of her career as the Towson University softball team defeated Delaware 6-4 Sunday afternoon.
The three game series wrapped up in Newark, Delaware on the Delaware Softball Stadium.
How It Happened
· Stockinger's first home run followed a Julia Smith-Harrington single gave the Tigers an early 2-0 lead.
· Delaware scored a run in the bottom of the first.
· The bats got hot for Towson during the second and third innings with Jessica Swistock opening up the second inning with a double to left center. The Tigers scored three runs and took the lead 5-1.
· Stockinger hit her second home run in the top of the third and the Tigers went up 6-1.
· Delaware's Brooke Glanden homered in the bottom of the sixth to make the score 6-2.
· Delaware added two more runs in the bottom of the seventh but Sara Johnson ended the game on a strikeout.
· Johnson threw a complete game for the Tigers and had five strikeouts.
Inside the Number
Stockinger has tied Brook Miko for career home runs with 35, which is second all-time in program history.
Stockinger hit two home runs in a game earlier this year against George Washington.

The Tigers are back in action Tuesday, April 9 to face Howard University. All games will be played in the Tiger Softball Stadium with the first game of the doubleheader staring at 1 p.m.
