Forty Footballers Named to Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll

RICHMOND, Va. -- Forty Towson University football student-athletes were named to the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Football Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll. The league made its announcement Thursday afternoon.

The 40 Tigers were among 399 student-athletes from the league's 12 football membership schools and one of five teams with at least 40 student-athletes landing on the list. To be a member of the Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll, student‐athletes must be enrolled full time and have attained a minimum GPA of 3.0 for the designated academic term, in this case the Spring 2019 term.

The Tigers named to the Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll are: Brandon Allen, Steven Brown, Nicholas Carnesale, Brendan Cassels, Reese Clarke, Tibo Debaillie, Rick Deberry, Jason Epps, Tom Flacco, Sam Gallahan, Andrew Garnett, Jamal Gay, Jesus Gibbs, Joseph Green, Aaron Gryzmkowski, Luke Hamilton, Colin Hirschmann, Scott Jones, Logan Justice, Matt Kauffman, Ryan Kearney, Bryce Lauer, Shane Leatherbury, Jirhe Love, Jason Miller, Jeff Miller, John Mullins, Aidan O'Neill, Bryce Perkins, Tyler Raines, Nicholas Rainey, Nicolo Russolillo, Vincent Shaffer, Caleb Smith, Frank Stettner, Jackson Truitt, Benedict, Umunakwe, Troy Vincent Jr., Diondre Wallace and Quan-Tay Young.

Towson kicks off the 2019 season on Aug. 31 with a trip to Charleston, South Carolina for a 3 p.m. showdown against The Citadel.
