CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Towson traveled to face No. 20 Virginia on the road Saturday afternoon, falling 7-0. 

How it Happened

• In doubles Jessica Assenmacher and Lauryn Jacobs lost a close fight, falling 6-3.
• Elessa Jacobs saw a strong Cavalier opponent but fell 6-2 and 6-1. 
• Amelia Lawson also got some points against her UVA opponent, falling 6-3 and 6-1.

"We knew this would be a highly difficult challenge, in a big-time tennis environment," said head coach Jamie Peterson. "Virginia is the highest-ranked opponent Towson has faced yet and our team is extremely young. We fought hard and gave great effort. In the future this experience will only make us better."
