TOWSON, Md. - Friday night the Towson University tennis team came out with its first victory of the 2020 dual season over Saint Francis, 4-2. The Tigers hosted the Red Flash indoors at the Pikesville Coppermine Racquet and Fitness club.
How it Happened
- In doubles, Pheobe Collins and Themis Haliou were strong with a 6-0 shutout to seal the win.
- Singles action continued with three more Tigers seeing victories.
- Collins, a co-captain won her singles match in straight sets.
- Haliou took her singles victory, clinching the match.
- Saint Francis took two singles wins, but had two defaults as well.
- Alexa Martinez and Amelia Lawson both started with tough outings in singles, falling in three sets each.
