May, Williamson Sign NLIs to Join Towson Men’s Basketball

TOWSON, Md. – Two incoming players, Christian May and Dylan Williamson, have each signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) and will join the Towson University men's basketball team starting in the 2022-23 season.

May and Williamson each signed their respective NLIs during the DI basketball early period, which goes from Nov. 10-17, and will be freshmen next year.  Head coach Pat Skerry brings in a pair of players from the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC).

"Our program is thrilled to add both Dylan and Christian, each of these student athletes come from families who have strong values and both are outstanding students," said Skerry. "These two guys have been teammates, playing for Nike Team takeover under Keith Stevens, and will also compete against each other in the WCAC at Good Counsel under Coach Kissel and Bishop O'Connell under Coach Wooten.  I'm incredibly excited to add these guys as they have the right combination of family, academics, coaching and talent to impact our squad."

Christian May – Guard/Forward – 6-6, 200 – Edinburg, Va. – Bishop O'Connell H.S.
May joins Towson from Bishop O'Connell, being named to the 2019-20 All-Northern Virginia Sophomore Boys Private School Team.  Ranked the No. 13 recruit out of the state of Virginia by 247Sports, May played in the prestigious Peach Jam Basketball Tournament and competed in AAU ball with Team Takeover in Washington, D.C.

Skerry on May:" Christian can play multiple positions on the court. He has great vision, is strong, athletic and competitive.  He makes shots and guards very well."

Dylan Williamson – Guard – 6-1, 170 – Upper Marlboro, Md. – Our Lady of Good Counsel
Williamson served as the starting point guard for a Good Counsel team which was ranked in the top-10 among teams in the DMV area by NBC Sports Washington.  Williamson, a member of the Good Counsel Academic Honor Roll, averaged nearly 20 points a game in the DMV Live Tournament over the summer, competed in the Peach Jam Basketball Tournament and plays in the AAU with Team Takeover.

Skerry on Williamson: "Dylan is a guard that can flat out score the basketball. He can create in transition and off off-ball screens, has a high basketball IQ and knows how to draw fouls."
