HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – The Towson University men's basketball team (13-12, 5-7 CAA) fell to Hofstra (16-9, 7-5 CAA) 71-49 on Saturday

• Tyler Tejada led Towson with 17 points.
• Caleb Embeya pulled down seven rebounds to lead the team.
• Jaquan Womack got two blocks for the second straight game.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The first 4:44 of the game saw Hofstra jump out to an 11-9 lead before both teams went cold, not scoring for the next 3:40 of the game.
• The Pride eventually got back into rhythm and rattled off 35 points in the final 11:36 to enter the half up 46-20.
• The second half saw a slower pace and a tighter game in which no team had more than in four point advantage in second half scoring.
• Towson finished on a 7-0 run, not conceding a point in the final 3:53.
