TOWSON, Md. –
Tyler Tejada scored a career-high 33 points as the Towson University men's basketball team (14-12, 6-7 CAA) defeated Stony Brook (16-9, 7-5 CAA) 69-57 on Thursday.
With results around the league, the Tigers are 1.5 games out of fourth place and a double bye in the CAA tournament.

- Tejada led Towson with 33 points while Dylan Williamson added 17 points of his own.
- Caleb Embeya and Jack Doumbia Jr. grabbed eight rebounds to pace Towson.
- Williamson added five assists and four rebounds to his night. The five assists led the Tigers.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Towson and Stony Brook played to a 14-13 score before Towson rattled off an 8-0 run to take a nine-point lead.
- The rest of the half was played evenly with Towson slowly extending their lead before entering the half up 16 points.
- Towson extended their lead to 20 early in the second half before the Seawolves eventually chipped away at the lead bringing the deficit to 11 with 12 minutes remaining.
- The Tigers responded with a 6-0 run to jump out to a 17-point lead with eight minutes left, 58-41
- The Seawolves made a late push with a 6-0 run leading up to the final 60 seconds of the game but it was not enough to make the comeback.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Tejada scored his most points in a half this season with 21 in the first half surpassing his previous high in a half this season in the second half against Loyola where he scored 18.
- Tejada shot 5-for-5 from the line. This was his third game this season making every free throw he attempted after taking at least five.
- Towson did not trail in the game.
- Ryan Conway got his first start this season.
