TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University field hockey team fell to Delaware, 4-0, on Friday afternoon at the TU Field Hockey Complex.  
The Blue Hens saw goals from four different players. Femke Strein also contributed two assists. Delaware had 17 shots total.

HOW IT HAPPENED 
	- The contest started quietly until Delaware scored at the 10:24 mark.  
 
	- To start the second quarter, Georgia Beachley had a blocked shot before the Blue Hens converted on a penalty corner to take the 2-0 lead. The corner was inserted by Ashlyn Car and scored by Grace Hoepfner.  
 
	- Delaware put one more away with a minute left in the first half to take the 3-point advantage.  
 
	- Kaiya Townsend Sabur and Samantha Aljets were given green cards to end the half.  
 
	- The Blue Hens attempted four penalty corners in the third quarter, converting on none. The Tigers also attempted two.  
 
	- To end the third, Vandam and the Towson defense stopped nine consecutive shots.  
 
	- Jenna Florenzo was assessed the team's third green card with just under 5:00 in the game.  
 
	- Morgan Rigual sealed the victory for Delaware with a goal in the final 3:00 of action. 
 
BEYOND THE BOX 
	- Aljets registered a team-high two shots while Kathryn Parkinson put one on goal for the Tigers.  
 
	- Townsend Sabur (1) and Beachley (1) also contributed shots.  
 
	- In goal, Lena Vandam added four saves in her second start of the season.
