TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University softball team split Saturday's doubleheader contest against George Mason.

Ally Hickman had a walk-off in the ninth inning to help the Tigers (8-6) defeat George Mason (9-5) 3-2.
The Patriots won game two 8-1.
How it Happened – Game 1
- The Patriots took an early 1-0 lead in the top of the fourth inning after a single by Marlaina Bozek.
- The Tigers took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the sixth after a sacrifice fly by Gracyn Houmis and wild pitch each advanced the runners that were on base.
- George Mason tied the game in the top of the seventh 2-2.
- In the ninth inning, Houmis was on second and advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt by Jess DaBreo allowing for Hickman to hit the walk-off to score her.
Inside the Numbers – Game 1
- Melissa Abrahamian threw the entire game with two strikeouts improving to 3-1 on the season.
- Both Towson and George Mason had seven hits apiece.
- Towson had two errors in the game, while George Mason had one.
How it Happened – Game 2
- George Mason took an early 4-0 lead in the top of the first and second inning.
- The Tigers cut into the lead in the bottom of the second after a Hickman double to center field advanced Lauren Ringhiser who eventually scored on a sacrifice fly out to center field by Briana Ramirez.
- George Mason then scored four unanswered in the top of the seventh to win the game 8-1.
Inside the Numbers- Game 2
- Hickman had one double and Ramirez had one RBI.
- Madeline Harris pitched the entire game with one strikeout but fell to 2-1 on the season.
