Williamsburg, Va. – The Towson University field hockey team dropped a 2-0 decision to William & Mary on Wednesday afternoon at Busch Field.
Five different Tigers registered shots in the contest including Samantha Aljets who totaled seven.
In goal, Lena Vandam made six saves while allowing two goals.
Ella Donahue and Sally Snead each scored a goal for The Tribe to secure their second Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) win of the season. William & Mary goalkeeper Kimi Jones made four saves to get the shutout victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Tribe struck first with a goal just over 5:00 into action.
- At the end of a quiet second quarter, Vandam tallied two saves in net while Aljets registered three shots with one on goal.
- Just as time was expiring in the third quarter, Sally Snead scored to extend William & Mary's lead to two scores.
- Paige Reese and Gianna Antone contributed shots for the Tigers in the final quarter of play, but it wasn't enough to get on the board.
BEYOND THE BOX
- Towson totaled 10 shots with four on goal.
- The Tigers took four penalty corners throughout the game.
- Aljets (4) and Kaiya Townsend Sabur (1) were the only Tigers to put shots on goal.
- Vandam faced 17 shots and made six saves for a save percentage of .750. Her save percentage on the season so far is now .738.
