TOWSON, Md. – Former Towson University men's basketball player Brian Fobbs is headed to the professional ranks, signing with the Vilpas Vikings in Finland for the 2021-22 season.
This is Fobbs's first professional season after concluding his Towson career following the 2019-20 year.
The Vilpas Vikings are the defending champion in Korisliiga, the top league in Finland. The team competes in Salo, Finland, in the southwest area of the country.
A JUCO First Team All-American at Genesee C.C., Fobbs came to Towson and became the first Towson JUCO player to score over 1,000 points since 1978. The two-time All-CAA Second Team guard finished with 1,083 points at Towson, starting all 64 games he played in a Black & Gold uniform.
