The Towson University men's and women's swimming & diving programs will host William & Mary this Saturday at Burdick Pool to kick off the CAA slate. Diving is set to begin at 10 a.m. and swimming will follow at 12 p.m. The meet will be streamed on FloSports.
Home Sweet Home – Women
Towson will open their home and CAA slate this weekend against the Tribe. They also have two dual meets with UMBC (Nov. 5) and Drexel (Jan. 21), as well as the Tiger Winter Open (Feb. 2-4).
The Tigers dropped their first dual of the season against George Mason 145-133, having four first place finishes in the meet. Hailey Ritter won the 100-yard butterfly and Bridget Thomas took first in the 1000-yard freestyle. Shannon Parrau swept both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events.
Scouting the Pride – Women
The Tribe enter Saturday with a 1-1 overall record and a 0-1 CAA record, falling to UNC Wilmington 199-95 on the road then beating Johns Hopkins 189.5-71.5 in Williamsburg. Annie Tuttle won two individual events against Hopkins last week, the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke, and took part in the Tribe's first place effort in the 200-yard medley relay. Elizabeth Intihar also won two individual events, the 1000- and 500-yard freestyle.
Scouting the Pride – Men
The Tribe's men's team enters this CAA matchup 0-0 overall and 0-1 in CAA meets, falling to UNC Wilmington 222-52 then to Johns Hopkins 151-111. Against the Blue Jays, Alex Valliere won the 50 free and was in the team's second place finish in the 200 free relay. Micah Lowe took first in the 100-yard backstroke.
Back at Burdick - Men
The slate for the men mirrors the women's, hosting the same events at Burdick Pool this season.
The men's squad also fell against George Mason in Fairfax 159-139. The squad got individual wins from Blakely Dean, Michael Fazio, Brian Benzing, Patrick Flint and Ajani Dorner to go with wins in the 200-yard medley and 400-yard freestyle relays.
Where They Stand
The CSCAA has issued its first top 25 rankings of the 2022-23 season for men's and women's swimming and diving. In the latest poll, released on Oct. 13, neither Towson nor William & Mary's teams were ranked in the polls.

The Towson women's swimming and diving team fell to William & Mary 143-118. The Tigers swept the 100-yard butterfly by way of Hailey Ritter, Samantha Casolo and Ava Enriquez. Meagan Clark won both the 200- and 500- yard freestyle.
