SAVANNAH, Ga. – Towson men's basketball got back to their winning ways with a 62-60 win against South Alabama on Saturday night.

Cam Holden led the charge for the Tigers (6-1) with 19 points, nine rebounds and eight assists in the win against the Jaguars (2-4).
The Tigers held South Alabama to under 40 percent from the floor while shooting 44 percent as a team.

- The Tigers were led by Cam Holden who scored 19 points and added nine rebounds and eight assists.
- Nygal Russell was the only other Tiger in double figures with 14 points on 6-10 shooting.
- Charles Thompson collected a team-high 11 rebounds in the win.
How It Happened:
- South Alabama got out to an early 5-2 lead, but the Tigers would tie the game after a Nygal Russell driving layup.
- The two teams would go back and forth in the middle portion of the half with each team struggling to find a bucket.
- During that stretch, the Tigers held the Jaguars to a three-minute scoring drought.
- Trailing by one, Sekou Sylla gave the Tigers their first lead of the half with his driving layup.
- However, the Jaguars would get the lead back on the next possession. Towson would get the deficit down to one a couple of times, but the Tigers trailed 24-21 at the break.
- Cam Holden and Charles Thompson led the way with six points each.
- The Tigers came out of the break firing, going on a 6-0 run to tie the game that was capped by a Charles Thompson dunk.
- After South Alabama retook the lead, Sekou Sylla once again gave the Tigers the lead with a driving layup.
- That sparked a 9-0 run and a bigger 15-2 run over six minutes that was capped by a Nygal Russell and one.
- However, South Alabama would respond with a run of their own to retake the lead, but it would be short lived.
- Cam Holden ended the spurt with a layup to regain the lead. That set off a 6-0 run to put Towson in front for good.
- The Jaguars would cut the lead to four, but Holden once again picked off the inbound pass and slammed it home.
- Towson would go on to defeat South Alabama 62-60 on Saturday night.

- Charles Thompson and Nygal Russell each grabbed their 500th career rebound in the contest.
- The Tigers outrebounded the Jaguars, 39-30. It is the fifth time in seven games that the Tigers have outrebounded their opponent.
