TOWSON, Md. – After the Towson University football team's dominant victory over Villanova, two Tigers, D'Ago Hunter and Isaiah Perkins, have been honored in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) weekly awards.
 
Hunter is the CAA Special Teams Player of the Week while Perkins is the CAA Rookie of the Week, announced by the league on Monday.
 
Each have now earned multiple league weekly honors this year.  Hunter, who was the Fedex Ground FCS National Special Teams Player of the Week last week, picks up his third CAA Special Teams Player of the Week award while Perkins is the CAA Rookie of the Week for the second time.
 
Hunter and Perkins helped Towson win 27-3 over CAA preseason favorite Villanova on Saturday for the team's second win in a row. 
 
Hunter earned his first-ever punt return touchdown, and first for Towson since 2017, on a 77-yard bring back, adding a 60-yard kickoff return on a day with 172 all-purpose yards.  The Culpeper, Virginia native has three special teams touchdowns on returns this year.
 
Perkins was Towson's top receiving threat on Saturday, making four catches for 60 yards and two touchdowns, his first-ever multiple touchdown game for the Tigers.  The Laurel, Maryland wide receiver had scores on catches of 25 and 10 yards.
 
Towson is back in action on Saturday, Nov. 12 on Long Island as the Tigers take on Stony Brook at 1 p.m.
