TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's basketball team closed out non-conference play with a 66-40 win against the UMass Lowell River Hawks. The Tigers held the River Hawks to single digits in two of the four quarters.
 
Kylie Kornegay-Lucas finished with her first double-double of the season with 19 points and ten rebounds. Quinzia Fulmore shot perfect from the floor to have 13 points.

• The Tigers forced 24 turnovers, including 10 steals for the second time in the last three games.
• Towson scored 38 points in the paint for the second time this season.
• The Tigers shot 46.4% from the floor.
• Towson limited the River Hawks to 23% from the field, a season-low.

• Towson jumped out to a 6-2 lead behind two baskets from Kylie Kornegay-Lucas.
• UMass Lowell tied the game at six after a couple of free throws.
• The Tigers finished the first quarter with a 5-0 run to have an 11-6 advantage after Anissa Rivera made a layup as time expired.
• The teams started the second quarter trading baskets to maintain a steady lead for Towson.
• Patricia Anumgba's mid-range jumper gave the Tigers a 19-12 lead with 4:32 left in the second quarter.
• The River Hawks went on a 10-2 run to take their only lead of the game at 22-21.
• Towson responded with an 8-0 run that was highlighted by Alexia Nelson's and-one with 1.1 left to have a 29-22 lead going to halftime.

• This is the second time this season the Tigers have held an opponent to under 30% from the field.
