Well-Balanced Effort Leads Towson Women’s Basketball Past UMass Lowell 66-40

TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's basketball team closed out non-conference play with a 66-40 win against the UMass Lowell River Hawks. The Tigers held the River Hawks to single digits in two of the four quarters.
 
Kylie Kornegay-Lucas finished with her first double-double of the season with 19 points and ten rebounds. Quinzia Fulmore shot perfect from the floor to have 13 points.

  • The Tigers forced 24 turnovers, including 10 steals for the second time in the last three games.
  • Towson scored 38 points in the paint for the second time this season.
  • The Tigers shot 46.4% from the floor.
  • Towson limited the River Hawks to 23% from the field, a season-low.
  • The Tigers tied a season-best with seven blocks this afternoon.

  • This is the second time this season the Tigers have held an opponent to under 30% from the field.
