BATON ROUGE, La. – The Towson University baseball team fell to No. 6 LSU 11-1 to finish the weekend with a 2-2 record.

Towson (2-6) scored first off a second inning solo home run by Nolan Young as the Tigers held the 1-0 lead through three innings, but LSU (6-1) scored 11 unanswered for the victory.

Key Stats:
  • Nolan Young finished 1-for-3 on the day with his home run in the second inning.  James Moses reached base twice via walk.

How It Happened:

  • Towson got runners on base via walks and errors in each the fifth through eighth innings, but could not plate a runner.  LSU continued to get hot swings, scoring multiple times in the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth innings en route to the 11-1 victory.
Inside the Numbers:
  • Nolan Young's home run was the second in his Towson career.
