BATON ROUGE, La. – The Towson University baseball team fell to No. 6 LSU 11-1 to finish the weekend with a 2-2 record.
Towson (2-6) scored first off a second inning solo home run by
Nolan Young as the Tigers held the 1-0 lead through three innings, but LSU (6-1) scored 11 unanswered for the victory.
Key Stats:
- Nolan Young finished 1-for-3 on the day with his home run in the second inning. James Moses reached base twice via walk.
- On the mound, the defeat went to Nick Ramanjulu (0-2) despite throwing the first three innings scoreless, having two runs in the fourth.
- For LSU, Brayden Jobert went 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs and three RBI. Starter Ty Floyd (2-0) picked up the victory with five innings, one run and five strikeouts.
How It Happened:
- Nick Ramanjulu pitched out of a bases loaded jam with a couple of induced ground balls and no runs allowed. Next half-inning, Nolan Young belted a ball opposite way over the right field fence for a solo home run and a 1-0 Towson lead.
- Ramanjulu held LSU scoreless through the third inning to preserve Towson's lead. But in the bottom of the fourth, Brayden Jobert hit a no-out, two-run home run to give the home team to lead.
- Towson got runners on base via walks and errors in each the fifth through eighth innings, but could not plate a runner. LSU continued to get hot swings, scoring multiple times in the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth innings en route to the 11-1 victory.

- Nolan Young's home run was the second in his Towson career.
- Towson went 2-2 on the weekend, going 2-0 vs. Southern and 0-2 vs. No. 6 LSU.
