How It Happened:
- After two scoreless innings to begin the game, Towson broke through in the third inning. With second and third and two away, Elijah Dickerson flew a single down the left field line to drive in a pair and push Towson ahead 2-0.

- The home team added another in the fourth off back-to-back two-out doubles to go up 4-2.
- Towson countered in the top of the fifth, loading the bases with a Jake Lysaght single, Nolan Young walk and James Moses single. Dickerson had a 10-pitch at bat and got a sacrifice fly, then a double steal got another run on Young's theft of home to tie the game at 4-4.
- Doug Marose pitched through three scoreless innings, allowing just one hit in that span, to keep the game tied. Jake Pecilunas continued that pace, going through a scoreless eighth and ending with a swinging strikeout to keep the game tied going into the ninth. But in the ninth, a double, bunt single and intentional walk set up bases full and one out. Iadisernia was hit by a pitch to push home a run and give Elon the 5-4 win.
