Smith Named USILA All-America Honorable Mention

LEXINGTON, Ky. – For the third time, Towson University men's lacrosse student-athlete Koby Smith garnered USILA All-America recognition, earning Honorable Mention plaudits. The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) announced its All-America teams Thursday afternoon.

Smith has been named USILA Second Team All-America (2019) and USILA All-America Honorable Mention (2021, 2022).

A First Team All-CAA (Colonial Athletic Association) selection, Smith started in 14 games this season at close defense. The Lutherville, Marylander caused 16 turnovers this season, while bringing in 23 ground balls. A force in transition, Smith scored six points this season, racking four goals with two assists.

Later this week, Smith reports to Albany, New York in advance of his rookie season with the Atlas Lacrosse Club. The three-time co-captain was drafted fifth overall in the 2022 Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) Collegiate Draft earlier this month.
