Bill Williams Hired As New Diving Assistant Coach

TOWSON, Md. – Bill Williams has joined the Towson University swimming and diving staff as the new diving assistant coach.

"I am excited to announce after our national search that Bill Williams will be joining our staff as our diving coach this season," head coach Anthony Bruno announced. "Bill brings with him a wealth of experience and team building at the Division I level. I am thrilled to partner with Bill to continue to build our diving unit into one of the best programs in the CAA and the mid-major level."

Williams has a deep and diverse coaching background with multiple positions at the collegiate and club level. He has also been a lead counselor at some of the most nationally recognized diving camps, including University of Texas.

At Texas, Williams was the camp diving coach from 2015 to 2022. He coached divers of all ages and skill levels on 1-meter, 3-meter and platform.

Prior to this he was the head diving coach at the Red Wolf Elite Diving Club from March 2019-August 2021. He coached springboard and tower, developing strength, conditioning and water workouts for divers ages 6-18. He also assisted with running social media accounts.

Williams also held positions as head diving coach at Old Dominion University (2017-2019), St Bonaventure University (2013-2017) and Northern Michigan University (2012-2013) where he was responsible for training, meets, recruiting, video analysis and academic support.

Williams graduated from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania in 2010, earning his bachelor's degree in sport administration.
