TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University field hockey team dropped a closely-contested overtime contest to Wagner College 2-1 Friday afternoon at the Wagner College Field Hockey complex.
Hannah McKeon scored for the Tigers, while
Georgia Beachley recorded her first assist of the season.

How It Happened:
- The Tigers recorded three penalty corners in the first half, just missing the back of the cage on a well-executed play as the first quarter came to a close.
- Tessa Scheenstra made a diving save early in the third quarter to keep the game scoreless.
- Sarah Hatfield narrowly missed wide of the net off a penalty corner late in the third quarter.
- Hannah McKeon found the back of the cage to start the fourth quarter, assisted by Georgia Beachley. Hedwig Veldhuizen's penalty corner created the opportunity for the Tigers.
- Wagner snuck a goal past Tessa Scheenstra with less than three minutes remaining to tie the game, sending it to overtime.
- Wagner found the back of the cage less than a minute into the overtime period.

- Hannah McKeon recorded her second tally of the season, tying her single-season record.
- Georgia Beachley recorded her first assist of the season.
- Tessa Scheenstra recorded three saves on nine shots faced in the contest.
- The 2022 team features six seniors who have been fixtures in the lineup since arriving on campus in September 2019. After eight games this season, the six have combined to start 209 games. Beachley and McKeon have each started 49 games, Mackenzie Tillman has started 33 games and Samantha Aljets has started 32 contests. Hannah King and Gianna Antone have both started in 23 contests.
