TOWSON, Md. – Towson men's basketball bounced back with a 68-48 win against Monmouth on Saturday night.
Ryan Conway led the way with a career-high 17 points going 5-9 from three.
Towson (11-7, 3-2 CAA) held the Hawks (1-17, 0-5 CAA) to just 3-17 from three and outrebounded Monmouth 41-28.

- Conway led the charge with 17 points on 6-13 shooting, going 5-9 from deep with three steals and two assists.
- Charles Thompson also hit double figures, recording an 11-point, 11 rebound double double in the win.
- Towson assisted on 13 of their 22 made baskets, forcing 15 Monmouth turnovers.
How It Happened:
- Towson got out to a quick 10-4 lead after a dunk from Charles Thompson and putback from Nygal Russell.
- The Tigers would rip off a 7-0 run, capped with a Christian May three on the wing to give Towson a double-digit lead at the under 12 timeout.
- Monmouth would be held scoreless over a four-minute stretch as Towson extended their lead off a Nicolas Timberlake steal and dunk and Sekou Sylla jumper to make it 28-10.
- Monmouth would fight back, going on an 8-0 run of their own to force a Towson timeout with the Tigers leading 28-18.
- Towson would continue to stretch their lead at the end of the half taking a 37-24 lead into the locker room.
- Both teams struggled out of the locker rooms with each side committing three turnovers in the first four minutes.
- Towson would hit just one of nine over the next four minutes to take a 44-30 lead at the under 12 media timeout before Ryan Conway ended the drought with a corner three.
- After a good defensive effort on one end, Nygal Russell would drill a three on the other to give Towson a 21-point lead.
- Conway put the game away with his fifth three of the game to give Towson their largest lead at 22, as the Tigers would take care of Monmouth 68-48 on Saturday.
