TOWSON, Md. – Towson men's basketball won their second straight game with a 68-47 win against Hofstra on Monday afternoon. The Tigers held the Pride to 4-27 from three in the win.
Nicolas Timberlake led the Tigers with a game-high 17 points with 15 coming in the second half.
Cam Holden also hit double figures with 13 points, scoring his 1,000
th career point in the win.

How It Happened:
- Hofstra pushed out to a 7-1 lead after Sekou Sylla split a pair of free throws to open the game.
- The Tigers would find their rhythm, ripping off an 19-2 run over a seven-minute span to take a seven-point lead after being down as many as 10.
- Towson would keep up the defensive pressure. Nicolas Timberlake would get a steal that led to a Christian May and one on the other end as the Tigers extended their lead to nine late in the half.
- Nygal Russell would push the lead to ten at the half after a strong take and finish to make it 30-20 Tigers at the break.
- Both teams went back and forth trading baskets to start the half.
- Towson went on a quick 6-0 run to push the lead to 16 after a Timberlake three and Charles Thompson dunk.
- Timberlake would go on a 5-0 run of his own to extend the lead out to 24, their largest of the day.
- With 6:27 to go in the game, Cam Holden hit a turnaround hook shot to record his 1,000th career point.
- The Tigers would continue to keep their lead around 20 points, finishing with a 68-47 win on Monday night.

- Nicolas Timberlake remains in 17th place on the all-time scoring list and is now just 18 points shy of passing Gary Neal for 16th all-time.
- Nygal Russell recorded 12 rebounds, his first double-digit rebounding performance as a Tiger. The mark was just one shy of his career-high of 13 set against Austin Peay last season.
- Towson won their 87th game inside SECU Arena. The Tigers now hold an 87-40 mark.
