TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University men's and women's swimming and diving programs are headed to Newark, Del. to face the Delaware Blue Hens in Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) competition on Saturday, Jan 28. The meet is set to start at noon and will be available to stream on FloSports.

Tiger in the Hen House – Women
The Towson women come into this weekend on three-meet winning streak in dual meets along with a first-place finish at the Patriot Invitational. The Tigers are 2-0 in conference meets this year, with Saturday's meet set to be strong determining factor in the CAA Championship rankings.
On the Hunt – Men
The Towson men have won three of their last four duals meets dating back to an October 22 win over William & Mary. The results of Saturday's meet will greatly influence the CAA Championship rankings.
Scouting the Blue Hens – Women
Delaware's women's team is also undefeated this season and have faced the same common opponents of the Tigers as the men's team. The women secured two wins against UMBC (238-59) and Johns Hopkins (227-64) on Oct. 8. The team also won against CAA foes William & Mary (161.5-135.5) and Drexel (151.5-88.5).
Scouting the Blue Hens – Men
The Blue Hen men are undefeated this season, having faced four common opponents of the Tigers so far. The Blue Hens registered two strong wins against UMBC (235.5-63.5) and Johns Hopkins (204-89) in a double dual meet on Oct. 8. Delaware has also recorded CAA wins against William & Mary (208-84) and Drexel (145-98).

The last time the Towson and Delaware women's programs faced off was January 29, 2022.The Tigers beat the Blue Hens 164-136 in that meet. Prior to losing to Delaware 182-118 two seasons ago, the Tigers were on a 17-meet winning streak against the Blue Hens dating back to January 6, 2007.

CAA Men's Diver of the Week | January 24, 2023
- Senior diver Ajani Dorner was named the CAA Men's Diver of the Week after posting his best effort of the season while sweeping both boards against Drexel.
- Dorner tallied an NCAA Zone-cut score of 300.15 in the 1-meter competition and scored 293.93 points in the 3-meter competition.
CAA Men's Swimmer of the Week | January 24, 2023
- Brian Benzing amassed his fifth CAA weekly award of the season following strong performances against UMBC and Drexel.
- The junior posted the eighth-fastest time in the nation this season in the 100 IM with a time of 48.61 to highlight a week where he won five individual events and three relays.
CAA Men's Swimmer of the Week | December 6, 2022
- Benzing added his fourth CAA weekly honor following his performance at the 2022 Toyota U.S. Open from Nov. 30-Dec. 3.
- He placed 12th in the 100 breast (LCM) with a time of 1:02.35, finishing just 16 one-hundredths of a second off the qualifying mark for the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials.
- His times of 54.83 in the 100 fly (LCM) and 23.38 in the 50 free (LCM) were good for 20th and 34th overall in those events respectively.
CAA Men's Swimmer of the Week | November 22, 2022
- Benzing was awarded his third CAA weekly honor of the season after winning six events and setting five meet records at the Patriot Invitational from Nov. 17-19.
- He posted NCAA B cut times in the 100 breast (52.37) and the 100 fly (47.14), which respectively stand as the second fastest and fastest times in the CAA this season.
- Benzing's time of 43.92 in the 100 free set a meet record and is currently the second-fastest time in the CAA this season.
CAA Men's Swimmer of the Week | November 1, 2022
- Benzing collected his second CAA Men's Swimmer of the Week award in as many weeks on Nov. 1 following a strong showing at the Thomas Murphy Invite from Oct. 28-30.
- He won the 100 fly at 47.61 and placed second in the 50 free with a time of 20.45. He also placed second in the 100 free, clocking in at 44.75.
- Benzing was also featured in four relays: the 800 free, 400 free, 400 medley and 200 medley relays.
CAA Women's Diver of the Week | November 1, 2022
- Shannon Parrau was awarded the CAA Women's Diver of the Week award on Nov. 1.
- The freshman posted a winning score of 254.25 on the 1-meter board.
- She claimed first place on the 3-meter board with a score of 252.60.
CAA Women's Co-Swimmer of the Week | November 1, 2022
- Katie Nunez was named the CAA Women's Co-Swimmer of the Week on Nov. 1 following a strong performance at the Thomas Murphy Invitational.
- Nunez collected three individual wins in the 50 free (23.38), 100 free (50.99) and 100 breast (1:03.90).
- Her time of 23.38 in the 50 free was just four one-hundredths of a second off the Mangione Pool record.
CAA Men's Swimmer of the Week | October 25, 2022
- Brian Benzing was named the CAA Men's Swimmer of the Week on Oct. 25 after winning two individual events and the 200 free relay against William & Mary on Oct. 22.
- Benzing's 20.44 in the 50 free and 48.01 in the 100 fly marked the fastest times in the CAA at that point in the season.
