TOWSON, Md. – Towson women's soccer remained unbeaten in league play with a 3-0 win against UNCW on Sunday afternoon. The Tigers improved their unbeaten streak to nine games with the win and posted their fourth straight shutout.
Towson (11-1-2, 7-0-2 CAA) scored just three minutes into the contest and held most of the possession against UNCW (4-7-2, 3-3-2 CAA) in the win.

How It Happened:
- The Tigers wasted little time taking an early lead. Jasmine Hamid placed home a corner kick from Reese Borden in the third minute to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead.
- Hamid nearly got her second of the game just ten minutes later. Rebecca Groseibl played a great ball across the box that found the head of Hamid, but her shot was stopped in the 13th minute.
- Towson would strike again in the first half in the 21st minute. Phoebe Canoles would score her seventh of the season off a cross from Reese Borden and Rebecca Groseibl to give Towson a 2-0 lead.
- The Tigers would have chances late in the half, but ended the first 45 minutes with a 2-0 lead.
- Jasmine Hamid once again found herself on goal early in the second half, but this time her shots was sent away from the Seahawk keeper.
- Just three minutes later Hamid again found the ball at her feet in the box but it was saved once more.
- UNCW had their best chance in the 78th minute. The Seahawks sent a ball trickling toward the goal but it was saved off the line by a Towson defender.
- Nia Christopher closed the door with her 10th goal of the season in the 86th minute off passes from Phoebe Canoles and Maja Hansson. Towson would hold UNCW off the scoreboard late to win 3-0 on Sunday.
