Benzing, Frame Garner CAA Weekly Honors

TOWSON, Md. – Towson University swimmers Brian Benzing and Ally Frame earned Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Swimmer of the Week awards following strong performances at the Navy Long Course Time Trials Friday evening, announced by the league office Tuesday afternoon. Frame shares the CAA Co-Women's Swimmer of the Week distinction with Northeastern's Grace Miller.

Benzing narrowly missed his second U.S. Olympic Trials cut after posting a time of 54.31 in the 100 fly at the Navy Long Course Time Trials. The second-place finish in the event was 0.72 seconds shy of the time standard the meet.

Frame set a Towson program long course record in the 100 back, recording a time of 1:03.36 to take second place in the event. Her time was less than two seconds off the U.S. Olympics Trials cut in the event.

This is Benzing's fifth weekly honor of the season and Frame's first.
